About Minorities & Women with AutoImmune Disease

Making The Connection In 2017...on a personal level is an important part of sharing our commitment to...

1) Increase awareness about autoimmune disease in Minorities & Women

2) Inform family and friends about how they can help us make a great impact connection to raise funds for Autoimmune Disease research

3) Partner with other organizations that have the same common goal to educate and find a cure for autoimmunity disease

Minorities and Women with AutoImmune Disease (MWAID) Foundation is the only National Multicultural Autoimmune Disease Awareness Foundation.
Founded in 2007 with headquarters in Houston, Texas, MWAID is a 501(c) (3) foundation.

Autoimmunity is the third leading cause of illness and death behind cancer and heart disease. Yet we know so little about it. Only 1-5 Americans can name an autoimmune disease.

A NEED FOR KNOWLEDGE

To help minorities and women live longer, healthier lives, a better understanding of autoimmunity is needed. Receiving early diagnosis and treatment are extremely important !
